Pitching practice
for HS softball will start Feb 17th at 7:00am.
NHS members will be selling carnations for Valentines Day if interested
please see a NHS member or Mrs. Riley by Friday.
Graceland University will be here on Wednesday, February 10th at 1:00 PM to meet with any
interested junior or senior.
Iowa Central Community College will be here on Monday, February 22nd at 8:30 AM to speak with any interested
juniors or seniors. Sign up for this meeting ends on Friday, February 19th.
B&B Propane is awarding two
$500 scholarships to college bound seniors. Stop in the guidance office for the application.

This Saturday, February 6th, WMU will be hosting the girl’s SEISC shootout, staff
and student passes can not be used for this event.
Mr. Pieart’s sociology class will be having a dance this Friday
after the game to benefit the earthquake victims in Hati. If you have an out of town guest you will need to stop in the high
school office and fill out a form in order for them to attend. This form needs to be turned in no later than Thursday at 3:00
or your guest will not attend.
Library fines: If you would like to reduce your library fines please bring a non-perishable food item
to Mrs. Buffington to receive $1 off of your fine.
Any middle school student who made an apron in
JR. FCS, please come and take it home. After this week, they will not be available.
Summer Driver’s ED applications can be picked up in the high school
office, classes start May 22nd.
The guidance office is sponsoring a "Fill out the FAFSA Day" for all college-bound
seniors and their parents. This service will be offered on Tuesday, February 9th from 2:00pm until 7:00pm. Families
must schedule ahead of time in the guidance office. Each appointment should take about 15-30 minutes.
A representative from the Iowa College Access Network (ICAN) will be here to help seniors and their families fill out
the FAFSA for next year. If you are interested in this free, helpful service, stop in the guidance office
to sign up for a time. Appointments are on a first-come-first serve-basis, so stop in as soon as possible.
